L'Amour Vainqueur Antique Bronze Sculpture Adolphe Itasse 1830-1893

Exquisite Antique bronze sculpture L'Amour Vainqueur signed and dated by Adolphe Itasse 1887. The bronze is in excellent condition. It measures 29 inches high and 18-1/2 inches wide. This bronze was sculptured from a model by William Adolphe Bouguereau. It is inscribed Bouguereau invet for inventor of the model most likely from one of his paintings and A. Itasse Sculp. for sculptor. This is one of the best bronzes in my collection and the first time I have taken pictures of it and placed it on the internet for sale. It has auction records as high as $33,750 at Sotheby's New York lot # 00072 2010 and once again at Sotheby's N.Y. lot # 00199 2014 it sold for $31,250. this is largest size it was sculptured in a smaller size also. Some were attached to bronze and marble bases. This is the original model with the original bronze base. It is in excellent condition and guaranteed to please the most advanced sculpture collector or dealer.
