Rare Antique 18k Gold Griffin Kerchief Holder. It opens from the side and closes tightly. You lift the top up a little bit and pull it open. You pull it down a little bit and slide it back in to have it close snuggly. This is an extremely rare item, the only one like it I have seen in my more than 55 years in the antique and jewelry business. The Griffin is beautifully sculptured and the entire holder is sculptured with floral and foliate high relief design. Weight 11.8 grams. It measures 1-1/4 inch wide and from top to bottom it measures 1 inch high. The widest width across the face from top to bottom is 13-1/2 mm. Guaranteed to please and delight any collector or dealer.
