Rare Antique Model Of A Female Nude Embracing A Term After Clodion

Beautiful and very rare model of a nude nymph embracing a satyr head term. Terms were usually carved granite or marble sculptures placed in formal 18th and 19th century gardens. This is an extremely rare model, we have never had the pleasure to own this model before. This model will appeal to the erotica bronze collectors as well as anyone that likes beautiful nude lady bronze or mythological sculptures. It is a wonderful mythological subject in superb condition. It is signed Clodion on the back. From the bottom to the top of the term's head it measures 13-1/2 inches. Inluding the marble base it measures a little over 15 inches high. The nude lady measures 12 inches from the bottom of her toe to the top of her left hand. The antique rouge marble base from front to back measures 4-3/8ths inches, from side to side it measures 4-1/4 inches wide the base height is 1-1/2 inches. The bronze has a beautiful rich chocolate brown patina and is in excellent condition. The rouge marble base is also in excellent condition.
