Superb Antique Large 14k Gold Framed Cameo Scenic Pendant Brooch. This beautiful Art Nouveau cameo pendant brooch depicts an Art Nouveau lady wearing a pearl necklace with a carved flower at her bust. In the background is an erupting volcano, birds, mountains and trees. The lady has a peaceful look on her face. In the more than 50 years I have been buying antique and estate jewelry this is the first cameo of a subject like this we have had the pleasure to purchase and offer for sale. The cameo and the 14k gold frame are both in excellent condition. The cameo frame has a folding ring where one could place a gold chain and wear it as a pendant. It is marked 14k on the pin catch on the back. With the long pin going from side to side it may also be worn as a brooch. The frame has a beautiful reticulated border and flowers on the top, sides and bottom. This is a rare and exquisite collector's piece measuring 2-3/8 inches wide and 1-7/8 inches high. Weight 17.4 grams.
