Exquisite Antique French Enamel Vase Lady Walking With A Fan signed John. The lady is beautifully painted. In her right hand she holds a fan and has a draw string purse suspended from the middle of her right arm. She lifts her skirt as she walks to prevent it from touching the ground. She also wears a very ornate bonnet, and lovely 18th century clothing. This is a very detailed vase with a lovely pastel background with scenes of buildings and trees encircling the composition. The top lip of the vase is brilliant red enamel with gold trim. There are 2 miniscule areas of enamel loss near the bottom mentioned for the sake of accuracy. You have to look closely under magnification to see them. This piece is from my own collection of antique French enamels that I am now downsizing. The diameter at the base is 1-3/4 inches. The vase measures 6-5/8 inches high 1-7/8 inches widest width. It is much larger than a normal enamel cabinet vase. This is an exquisite French enamel vase guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur.
