Beautiful pair of antique Whiting Louis XV sterling silver large serving spoon and fork. They are marked with an early Whiting hallmark of a winged lion holding a large W within a circle. They are also marked sterling PAT. 1891. This is a rare pattern. This serving set is very hard to find. It has a 3 letter monogram that looks like ELL at the top of each handle. There is traces of gold on the spoon and fork bowls. These were silvered gilt at one time. They are in excellent pre-owned condition. The fork measures 8-3/4 inches long. The spoon measures 9 inches long. The widest width of the spoon is 2-1/2 inches. The widest width of the fork is 2 inches. They have a combined weight of 148.7 grams, almost 5 troy ounces.
