Beautiful antique gilt bronze nude floating on waves signed G. Omerth. George Omerth produced beautiful gilt bronze sculptures in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Most of his works are found in Europe. Very few made it to the United States. We've found sculptures by this artist on our annual world wide buying trip, some found in South America. It's very rare to find his works in the U.S. This sculpture depicts a beautiful gilt bronze nude floating on waves, completely relaxed and peaceful. The bottom of the sculpture has a gilt bronze under plate. She measures 7 inches long, widest width 2-1/2 inches. From the bottom to the top of her elbow she measures 2-3/4 inches high. Weight 2 lbs.
