Exquisite Antique French Silver & Enamel Octagonal Jewelry Box Woman & Cherub. The top of the box has a beautiful high relief sculptured seated lady riding on a mythological dolphin in the waves with a flying cherub by her side. Around the high relief figures is a circle of light blue enamel dots. Around that border is a hand engraved floral and foliate design. Around that border are blue enamel ribbons. The box has French marks in three places on the sides. The top and bottom of each side have engraved flowers in a lozenge. The enamel has some very minor losses but looks absolutely beautiful. The box has eight sides. All sides are hand engraved. Two sides have French marks and the top border on one side has a French mark.
