Antique Whiting Sterling Silver 19th Century Griffin Punch Ladle 1875

Beautiful Antique Whiting MFG. Co. Sterling Silver 19th Century Griffin Punch Ladle. It is designed with a high relief sculptured Griffin on the handle with flowers and scrolling foliate designs. The back of the ladle underside is inscribed M.W. GALT. BRO. & CO. who were the retailers of this ladle. It has an S monogram in the cartouche at the top. The ladle bowl has a couple of dings on the underside mentioned for the sake of accuracy. The top section has no dings, nicks or scratches. This is a rare, elegant and beautiful early Art Nouveau Griffin sterling silver ladle guaranteed to please the new owner. It measures 12-7/8 inches long and widest width of ladle bowl is 4-3/8 inches. Weight 6.49 troy ounces.
