  • Item No: 75422

Beautiful antique 19th Century Orientalist Partial Gilt Bronze Classical Lady With her right breast exposed wearing a lose fitting robe. She has gilt highlights in her headdress, a portion of her robe, the lute and other decorative elements on the bronze. She has a number incised along the back wall that she is seated on. The underside has screw holes indicating this bronze may have been the center of a marble based clock at one time. She looks beautiful just the way she is and will make a great addition to any sculpture collection. One could mount her on a marble base if so desired, but she stands perfectly secure just the way she is. It looks like a big Vienna Bronze. She measures 14-3/8 inches from the bottom of her foot to the top of her hair. Her widest width from left hand to right side of her robe is 6 inches. From the back of her robe to the front of her left foot she measures just under 6 inches deep. Weight 11 lbs. There is some rubbing to the patina commensurate with age and handling. She is in excellent pre owned condition, no damage. This is a beautiful 19th century musical theme bronze sculpture guaranteed to please any collector. We could not find any signature but guarantee this bronze is more than 100 years old. Orientalist bronzes like this are very rare and very collectible.
